Physiotherapy at its core is the promotion of mobility via treatment and prevention of injury. It involves specific assessment and treatment techniques including movement, exercise, manual therapy, education and advice. As a Chartered Physiotherapist, I have an extensive understanding of the body and have spent over 10 years working in partnership with patients to improve their mobility, strength and function.
I gained a huge amount from working in a professional sporting environment in terms of the body’s capacity for performance, resilience and change. Professional sport questions and stretches conventional physiotherapy approaches and timescales in a way that allows the true potential of the mind/body complex to emerge. I have seen what the body is truly capable of and I bring this knowledge into all my sessions.
